It’s frustrating, we get it. You’ve tried every product available, yet you still get breakouts. We’re going to give you practical information that you can start today.

Come to us! We’re specifically trained to care for your skin. We have so many treatments, procedures and products that can REALLY help your acne. From Microdermabrasion to Chemical Peels to Hydration Facials and Lasers, we have many tools in the arsenal to clear your skin. We even have an acne membership program. Get yourself to the office!

Don’t Pick! Leave that to the professionals. We can safely extract without leaving marks and scars. Picking always leads to problems that are worse than the acne.

Exfoliate. Avoid scrubs and lean toward chemical exfoliants. Scrubs can lead to irritation and allow additional bacteria to enter the skin. Exfoliants promote cellular turnover and help decongest clogged pores. Just be careful and don’t overuse exfoliants – they’re powerful and can lead to irritated, inflamed, or dry sensitive skin if used aggressively. A quick consult with us can help guide you to the right product for you.

Avoid Dairy. Numerous studies show a link between acne and dairy. Cut down! There are so many delicious alternatives like almond, soy, coconut, hemp, rice, cashew and more.

Take Probiotics. The gut needs to have the proper microbiome to thrive. Probiotics taken orally can help reduce inflammation and acne IS inflammation.

Consider using Probiotic Skincare. These products can help create an environment optimal for healthy bacterial growth on the skin. While eating probiotic-rich foods can help the integrity of your skin from the inside out (by reducing inflammation,) adding topical probiotics and prebiotics can protect the skin from environmental factors, while adding a hit of strength to our skin with optimum hydration and increased immunity to infection, breakouts, and irritations.

Try an anti-inflammatory diet. Eat lots of greens and healthy fats. Try to avoid processed, high sugar foods as they cause inflammation. A low inflammatory diet reduces inflammation, swelling and pain. A clean diet can really help.

Go easy! Too many or the wrong products can wreak havoc on your skin. We tend to think more aggressive acne products will work in fact they can actually make matters worse. Don’t overdo it and add new products slowly over several days and one at a time. Be careful not to over strip the skin.
