How to get glowy skin.
We want our skin to look dewy, hydrated, plump and healthy – not dehydrated, dry or cracked.
Here are a few easy steps to make your skin look amazing. Nothing complicated or expensive.
Apply products immediately after washing. Never let your skin dry all the way out. Pat it gently and don’t rub too aggressively.
Start with a gentle toner to balance the pH. I Love the French Girl Neroli Toner (super easy spray) or Thayers Witch Hazel.
Apply antioxidants. For day time use something that has loads of vitamin C like C E Ferulic or Lumivive AM. These are loaded with free radical fighters. At night time use antioxidants to repair and heal like Resveratrol or Lumivive PM.
Repair the Lipid Barrier. It's essential to apply a ceramide rich moisturizer twice daily. We adore Barrier Renewal and Triple Lipid Restore.
Exfoliate Regularly. Dry skin can be corrected with office treatments like microdermabrasions and peels. These treatments remove the topmost layers of the skin help compact the other layers of the skin thereby improving the moisture retention. At home 2-3 nights a week with a glycolic or lactic is best. My new favorite is the Glycolic 10 Renew Overnight, but our tried and true is Lactic Acid. Be careful not to overdo it!
Use a Guasha and Facial Roller. Gentle massage of the skin improves blood flow, oxygenates the skin and improves product absorption. This lymphatic drainage technique helps depuff, sculpt and lift the skin.
Don’t be afraid of facial oils. Our go to is Marula or Rose Hip Oil. I swear to god, you won't break you out. Perfect for the slip you need with a guasha tool.
Incorporate a Hyaluronic Serum into your routine. This tried and true ingredient is the ultimate drink of water for your skin. Hyaluronic acid holds 1000x its weight in water and now we have a hyaluronic acid that not only plumps but helps your body to create its own Hyaluronic acid. Check out HA Intensifier on our website.
Eat a clean, healthy diet. Include healthy fats, fish, avocado, nuts, seeds and plenty of fresh vegetables. The phytonutrients and minerals derived from whole foods is key to having healthy glowing radiant skin.
